Weighing 161 grams and measuring 80x38x67 mm (L/W/H), this optic is ready to use right out of the box as you don’t need additional mounts, batteries or tools. This is because the 39mm high mount is already attached to the optic's housing, while the battery and tooling are included in the scope of delivery.
There are even flip-up protective caps attached to the eyepieces and objectives. So all you have to do is insert the battery into the battery compartment, mount the Aimpoint Duty RDS (which weighs 106 grams without the mount) onto your rifle's MIL-STD-1913 optic rail, and tighten the torque nuts using the Torx T10 screws and the included tool. – You’re done.
The Duty RDS Red Dot Sight is equipped with an integrated mounting bracket to ensure a stable installation while providing an easy-to-use experience. Its optical center height is 1.54 inches, which provides users with an ideal aiming line, allowing them to aim quickly and accurately at various target distances.
The elevation and windage adjustments on the top and right side of the Aimpoint Duty RDS are flush with the gun body and do not require protective covers. An audible click is heard during impact point correction.
The Duty RDS has a numeric keypad on the left side of the housing with two +/- buttons for setting ten brightness levels, which can be operated intuitively even when wearing gloves.
The new red dot sight is powered by a CR2032 battery and features an "Advanced Circuit Efficiency Technology" (ACET) diode circuit. Aimpoint is also a pioneer in this area, so power consumption is significantly reduced. In addition, the service life is very long. For example, the manufacturer guarantees that the Duty RDS will operate continuously for more than three years when activated in daylight position 7, and the operating time will even be longer at lower light intensity settings.
